1. What can VoiceMask Pro do?
You know, Internet is anonymous. But when you are talking over Internet with ICQ Phone, Yahoo Messenger or making Internet Phone calls with net2phone or etc, you are not anonymous any more. Your peer can easily identify your voice. With VoiceMask Pro, you can change your voice when you are talking over Internet with any voice tools, and give you anonymous identity and fun again.

3. What is the minimum requirement for this software?
You must have a Pentium III 500 or higher machine with no less than 64M RAM. You must have Window 98, Me, 2000, XP with IE5 or higher installed. A duplex sound card is also required. If you want to talk with others you must have a MIC and a speaker or headphone.

4. I have used VoiceMask, but what is the difference between VoiceMask and VoiceMask Pro?
I'm glad to know that. VoiceMask Pro was totally redesigned. It posses a lot of new features and enhancements. The new version has a new interface, a more stable voice transforming engine, at the same time, new algorithms were also invented to make your voice clearer.

10. When I was testing my voice, there are echos even I disabled echo in your program, what can I do?
It is because you are using a PC speaker. The sound from your PC speaker enters your MIC again. To avoid this, use headphone please. If you do not have headphone, you still can use this program to talk with others on Internet, they will not hear echo.

11. When I talking with the function background music enabled, my peer says that there are some noises in the background, why?
If you add music as background and the recording application use a compression algorithm, which is designed for compress voice, the music will become intermittent. With VoiceMask Pro, you can play a pre-recorded voice to your peer.

12. When I'm using pitch scale function, it tells me I can only change my pitch from 85-125, why?
You are using an unregistered version of VoiceMask Pro. If you want to change your pitch from 50-200, you must register this software and enjoy the full functions.

13. When I'm talking with VoiceMask Pro on, I change the background music; why it doesn't work?
You cannot change background music dynamically like other controls (pitch, equalizer, echo), you must restart recording if you want to use a new background music effect.

14. I'm using MSN Messenger, my voice doesn't change, why?
VoiceMask Pro 1.2 will support MSN Messenger on Windows NT Platform (NT4, 2000, XP). Please check you must have DirectX8 or higher installed to support MSN Messenger.

15. What platform can I use with VoiceMask Pro?
VoiceMask Pro needs some CPU power. We suggest you running it on a PC with Pentium III 500MHz processor or higher. If you want to test your voice on your PC first, you must have a duplex sound card. You must have a MIC and PC speaker or headphone to use VoiceMask Pro. Now this version of VoiceMask Pro supports Windows 98, Me, NT4 (sp5), 2000, XP. But you must have IE5 or higher installed.

16. I'd like to enable the background music for my conversation, but I have only MP3 file, what can I do?
Thanks. Currently, VoiceMask Pro can only support WAVE file as the background music. You must convert your MP3 file or WMA file to WAVE before using it as the background music. You can try our MP3 Kit tool to do this. http://www.latestsoft.com/mp3/

17. One day, when I start VoiceMask Pro, it tells me that there is a new version. Why?
Oh. That is to say, we have released a new version of VoiceMask Pro. To install the new version, you must download it from our web site again; uninstall the old version; run setup again. If you are a register user, you must keep your serial code in a safe place.

18. I downloaded a new skin for my VoiceMask Pro, but how can I use it?
It is very simple. For example, you downloaded the "DreamBlue" skin and saved the file "c:\dreamblue.vms". Use your "Windows Explorer" and double-click this file "dreamblue.vms". VoiceMask Pro will run automatically and install the skin for you.

19. When I start VoiceMask Pro, I cannot see any interface after seeing a splash window?
You should make sure that IE5 or higher was installed in your machine. To download latest version IE, please visit http://www.microsoft.com/ie/ . If you have already installed IE5 or higher, please reinstall VoiceMask Pro.

20. VoiceMask Pro does not change my voice, why?
To check this problem, please follow the following steps:
1. Make sure you start VoiceMask before other recording applications.
2. Make sure there are only one application is recording.
3. Test Voice in VoiceMask Pro first. Click "Option" button in main dialog, and select "Test" tab, click "Start" button.
4. Make sure you have enable VoiceMask Pro. Please click "Option" button in main dialog, and in "Pitch Scale" tab, make sure the check box with name "Disable VoiceMask Pro" is unchecked.
5. Start that application again, and test.
6. If it still failed to change your voice, please go to the folder you installed VoiceMask Pro, and mail the log.txt file to us (mailto:support@latestsoft.com).

21. I'm using Windows 98 (Me), after I quit VoiceMask Pro, some of my applications cannot run, why?
If you meet this problem, you must restart your PC again. I'm quit sorry for the inconvenience caused by our program.

22. Does VoiceMask Pro support Netmeeting, Net2Phone and Yahoo Messenger?
Yes. VoiceMask Pro is more stable than the former version VoiceMask. It can run smoothly with most audio applications (MSN messenger is an exception in some platforms) according to our test. If you found any problems, please let us know by sending mail mailto:support@latestsoft.com including your client application name, your operation system, your hardware (CPU, RAM) information.
